For some context on this short film: I was in a video production class and the original idea had been to go downtown Chicago to take shots of people meandering around and editing it into a documentary-style sort of piece. This was all back in March/April 2020 after we got sent home post-Spring Break. I figured it wouldn’t be ethical to do my documentary piece when the city was essentially a ghost town I had to come up with something new and filming the emptiness of my already quiet suburb at the time wasn’t going to work. So what better idea than to do something right from the computer? I compiled clips and edited them together in a way that would make sense and to put forth a reminder of all the media we consume on a daily basis it is hard to know what exactly to believe.
